HOW THIS PROGRAM WORKS

TRAINING FUNDS PROVIDED BY THE LA WORKFORCE COMMISSION (LWC)

The Louisiana Workforce Commission provides training funds to organizations through the Small Business Employer Training Program (SBET) for companies that have 49 or less employees. These funds are provided to Louisiana-based companies who have contributed consistently into the state’s unemployment insurance program for the past 3 years, and who submit applications for training via LWC’s training web site portal.

Team Real World is an SBET approved training provider.

ABOUT THE SBET PROGRAM

  • For Louisiana-based companies with 49 or less employees
  • Funds available: up to $3,000 per year per employee, starting July 1st
  • Each training application takes 45-60 days to approve
  • Can submit training applications as needed throughout the year
  • Pays for entire class fees or partial fees depending on cost and type of class
  • Employer pays vendor upon application
  • LWC reimburses employer 45-60 days after completion of training
